One of my Russians laid 3 eggs on May 7th. I have been incubating them. I think that one or more eggs are rotten as I am getting a faint whiff of an odor when I am looking in the incubator or walking close by sometimes. Is there a way that I can tell which one is bad (or perhaps all 3 are bad)? The eggs were taken out of the nest shortly after she laid them (she had not completely covered the nest when we dug them up). I did not candle the eggs or even touch them after there were put in the Hatchrite and placed in the incubator.
I do not see any cracks in the eggs, but I guess the odor can penetrate the eggshell?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
