So I made a recycling bin to keep him outside during the day, but all he does is stayed under a cover and doesnt bask. Around dusk, I would bring him inside his enclosure but he still hide under the reptile rock I bought.
I think it's normal for the little ones to want to hide a lot and not stay out in the open. Their instincts are to protect themselves from predators (real or perceived). Once it gets a little bigger and a bit more sure of itself and its surroundings, you'll see it out basking more often.
