Recently I bought my russian tortoise an aloe vera plant, not sure if he would eat it or not so I have some questions hopefully somebody will answer. Should I leave it in his enclosure? Is it healthy for him? And can it hurt him because I saw some spiny bumps on it. Thanks

It is edible. Is this for an outside or inside enclosure? If it's purpose is to shade your Russian outdoors, then I probably wouldn't unless you have a huge area.

Hello Michael
Yes they will eat it mine have ! But if you plant a lot of them the torts will love to hide in them as well . ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1468197245.954743.jpg
