* Hard question with no exact or specific answer. The ones you see in most of our pictures that have no definitive patterns or growth lines are because they are older imports and/or they have been smoothed down from the mating process. I have seen captive raised aldabras that were several hundred pounds that still have definitive and distinctively clear growth rings.
