* LOL, Ok......I know what your asking and many have a true misconception of the volume they eat. During the rainy season they basically eat grass, weeds, sedges, etc. for many months without any supplemental food sources. During the dry season we feed hay, cactus, etc. During egg laying season we feed a small quantity of Mazuri to our adults, primarily focused on our females. This is a very frequent and commonly asked question that is truly difficult to answer. Where the problem and difficulties come from is when someone has to purchase all of the food sources because they have no ample space for them to eat naturally. This gets very expensive and can easily become a serious financial burden fast as the tortoise grows older and bigger, which is actually a totally different topic!
