During the dry season we feed hay, cactus, etc. During egg laying season we feed a small quantity of Mazuri to our adults, primarily focused on our females. This is a very frequent and commonly asked question that is truly difficult to answer. Where the problem and difficulties come from is when someone has to purchase all of the food sources because they have no ample space for them to eat naturally. This gets very expensive and can easily become a serious financial burden fast as the tortoise grows older and bigger, which is actually a totally different topic!

They're rubber, right? We had some for our rottweilers and they held up well to being gnawed on and drug around the yard!
