OK, random question! After a tortoise sheds its skin (whether a little or a lot), generally how long does it take the new skin to thicken up and look tortoise-y again?

They do shed, it's pretty normal from what I've read on the forum here
But I haven't been able to find any info about how long until the new skin thickens up. The new skin is, at least in appearance, much thinner. And less bumpy! It's pretty funny looking, he looks almost naked =P
