Steve’s skin pigment issue?

Hello again. I was just wondering about Steve‘s skin. He recently reached 50g and seems to be very healthy but I was just a bit unsure about his skin. He has a small Green spot on the head and his skin appears to be lighter in areas. I don’t know what can be causing this. I will attach a photo of how dark he was when I got him and then photos I took today after his soak. Is there some kind of pigment issue or is it just a case of him growing and the pigment will set in soon (new growth)? Any help is appreciated!

Zola's skin was a lot darker when we first got him -I think this is normal. The contrast of colours in his shell reduced (over 23 years) so his pattern is nowhere near as marked as it once was. Steve looks lovely.

Looks fine to me too. They do shed their skin and it will be lighter after they do so. One of the pics appears to me that maybe it had shed recently.

You might like to see this photo of Zola, taken a few years ago in Falmouth. His dad added some extra photos of him when he was much younger, and you can see the changes over time. The sizes of the little ones in relation to him are not at
all accurate, but it gives you an idea !
