We adopted Ruby in September of 2023 from a family in Virginia. She had mostly lived in their house and been eating premade dry food. Her beak was overgrown and she was pretty lethargic. She had a hard time eating anything that wasn’t shredded.

She’s made a lot of progress here in South Carolina over the last seven months. Now she zooms around her enclosure browsing for things to nibble on then she’ll sploot out to soak up some sun. She’s also been known to climb up in a bush or two.

She’s super sweet and loves back scratches. Her favorite foods are papaya, mushrooms, dandelion flowers, hibiscus and clover.IMG_2139.jpeg

Nice work.
That's a smooth RF
Try feeding her on a flat cement slab or a large peice of slate. It'll keep that beak trimmed. And walking over it will trim the nails
