So what do I put in the box, like on the ground?
You could put basically anything okay for turtles. Slate, gravel, or gravel with a layer of slate on top. See what others say though.
June has no bottom just stacked wood coming out I the water so they can climb up. I could constructed a floor and put sand soil mix or something of that matter but ill do that in my bigger tank not this smaller 40
I am building one to have mare space. I had stacked rocks and a platform that has stairs to get up on.

Ya, i think soil would work. He might drag it in to your water though.
Yeah same thing about sand right? What would work best?
Maybe fill it with soil, and put some plants or grass on the ramp so he gets any stray soil swiped off.
