A sign of hope

Well, today (I'm on vacation) I wax at the Stone Harbor Bird Sanctuary and I found a female ETB digging her nest. Luckily I had my iPad with me and I snagged a few shots .
Here is the area where I found her

Also found some diamond back terrapins in these pools the day before

We also found a Night Heron, osprey, went to a sea turtle rescue (got to see a couple sea turtles), and saw a breaching whale.

She was really pretty. I like how she is looking at you when you took the pictures lol.

I went back to the site this morning and found she had indeed laid eggs. After scouting around I found 2 other nests.

Too bad I can't stay and watch the nests hatch. Just can't believe it....3 nests in a 20 foot radius.
