thank you!You are so lucky!! Congrats... They are beautifull.
Oh how sweet they are! God bless.Check them out! Getting them has been like my birthday times a thousand. What an amazing experience. I am so happy to be a part of the conservation effort.
Pics didn't show up.I know I am taking a waaay early shot in the dark here, but does anyone else see the larger two anal scutes as early stages being male/ and female? They look significantly different to me. I hope so U was hoping to get a breeding pair out of this.
MVBs will cause pyramiding even in a closed chamber. They desiccate the carapace. They also run too hot for a closed chamber. They pyramiding will worsen over time if you don't change this. They are all doing well. They eat well. They seem to have grown some. The darkest one is getting a little more pyramiding than I would like, but the other two do not appear to have any. I want to install tube lights because when I try to close off the enclosure the MVB gets too hot. As a short term solution I could build a $20 thermostat, I think Yvonne has a thread about it.
Yes, I know. That is my plan.MVBs will cause pyramiding even in a closed chamber. They desiccate the carapace. They also run too hot for a closed chamber. They pyramiding will worsen over time if you don't change this.
How are you housing these? Tom's platy's are bowling ball smooth. Any reason why you are using a MVB?
