Can y'all tell me if my little guy has any shell rot or is the black area normal? There are two, almost, symmetrical spots on each side of his belly, right in the middle.. I don't know if that's the beginnings of shell rot.

I do apologize in advance for my neurotic posts, I am naturally a worrier and being a mom to a baby tort is making me a nervous wreck.

I think once I have a baseline, in my head, of what is normal and okay, I *might* stop worrying so much (probably not)!

Does not look like rot to me . Maybe something in the enclosure he has been laying on or is something from the egg . He's a baby little spots show up some times .

from the looks of it, does seem to be shell rot.... but i think an expert would clarify that...
