I live in Charleston SC and need to start preparing my outdoor enclosure for a Redfoot and a Florida box turtle (separate enclosures) for winter. I was looking to get them each the dog house attached and put a radiant panel in the ceiling. Can I do that with a plastic box and can I put straw in the box? Don’t want a fire or the box melting. We don’t have cold for long but this coming week it will get down around 55-58 degrees at night. I would like to leave them in their yards and not have to bring them in the garage.
