My Sulcata tortoise dug her eggs about a month ago and now she is digging them back out! Some unfortunately cracked, but some are still complete. She’s digging with her back legs, as if she might lay more. Does anyone know what’s going on?

She's digging another nest, and the spot that seems good to her the first time seems like a good spot again.

She's not digging up her eggs. She's just digging a hole in a good spot to lay her currently held eggs.

This is why you need to either dig up the eggs within a couple of weeks of her laying them, or cover the area with a large wire basket of some sort if you don't want to dig them up.
