Well obviously I still need some more plants. But Wally has been moved into new enclosure. I kept the dog igloo since it has the CHE in it and it is still cool at night. I hid it behind the lemon tree so you don't see it when you walk up. I left the moving blankets in top of it for extra insulation for now. In one of the pictures he is in the top left going up the hill to the dog house. He has already done a few laps around the perimeter. I think he likes it. The high today will be 66, but after a lap he took a little snooze in the morning sun. I have room to make it bigger as he grows. The lime tree inside the enclosure is on a drip system and he can have a lovely mud bath there in the summer.

Wally loves his new enclosure! I put a wide flower put upside down over a hole I had dug, put a flat rock on top of the drain hole and covered it up with dirt. Wally took charge and created a pretty deep tunnel. I don't know how far it goes, but for his safety, no one is allowed to walk on that half of the enclosure. I'm afraid it will collapse. The heat is so bad right now that my hibiscus bushes in his enclosure are wilting.

If you have seen previous pictures of Wally, from when I first got him a year ago, he was extremely pyramided. You can see all the new growth from the past year and its growing in smoother! Yay! His shell is up off the ground and he no longer drags his back legs. I still have the igloo dog house attached to the enclosure even though he is never in there. Monsoon season is here and if we get heavy rain, the dog house is elevated from the "floor" of the enclosure. And he will need it again when temps fall. That's where the CHE is.ImageUploadedByTortForum1373154704.596617.jpgImageUploadedByTortForum1373154814.628145.jpg
