Hi all I know my baby is way to young to sex at 5 months, so im not looking for is it a male or female. I was wondering if there was a size when the shell starts to concave? Chomper is my first baby and I know it can take years for them to prove to you male or female.

I would say between 15-20 lbs you would be able to start to see sex differences

Usually around 15-16 inches. Only if you have a male.

You are likely to know long before that though when the male tortoise shows you his magic purple mushroom. They will sometimes do this when they are 8-10 inches. If you don't see the magic mushroom, it means you have a female, or a male that isn't showing it off.
