Lately, I have noticed that my tort has discoloration on his head and I'm worrying about it. Sometimes after a bath though, it will look normal but then after some time passes it goes back to a white patch instead of his golden color. I don't know if you can really tell in the photos but his nose begins this golden color then progresses into a white patch then back to the normal color. Could this possibly mean he has an illness? Or just dry?

It looks perfectly normal to me :)

It's not dry skin that needs moisturising; it's just shedding.

All animals shed skin, even you. Snakes do it all in one go. Humans do it in teeny bits that make dust. Torts do it in bigger areas and can look downright tatty at times. It will rub off naturally.

This sort of thing happens sometimes. Nothing to worry about as long as all else is good.
