I wanted to show what my tortoise eat.
Dexter is a Red Foot and Rammus is a Cherry Head.
This is an example of some of the foods they eat. On the plate there is: hibiscus leaves, squash flower, pot marigold leaves, young sprout mesclun mix, and young sprout collard greens. I say 'young sprout' because the plant is not full grown so there are many a few real leaves in there and still the sprouting leaves included. Stem and all too. Everything but the hibiscus leaves I grew from seeds.
Dexter LOVES his squash flowers so I had to chop up 2 flowers so Rammus can have some. In the picture above you can see they both are eating the base of a flower.
I also spray the greens with a little water to help them stay hydrated.
