it's pretty hard to tell at this point: my initial hunch was the same as Yvonne's however: carrot. Did you have carrots growing in that area before and did they go to seed?

I'm pretty certain it's not carrot since my lot was wild less than 2 years ago. I'd be thrilled it it was carrot but I see it popping up in several places in my yard. I googled it and I found 3 things, all similar to one another. Queen Ann's Lace, fool's parsley, and poison hemlock. Until it were to mature and flower, I don't know if there is a way to tell, except for waiting till it's bigger and sniffing the roots, as google said lol.

We have a weed that comes up here like that. It's called wild carrot or Queen Anne's lace. Does it smell like a carrot?

How can I make this grow? I was a little surprised to have found this in my baron landscaping LOL.

I'm going to go pull one up and do a sniff check.

Sniff check complete...
Hmm just smelled like dirt. It had an unimpressive white root. I rubbed the leaves and it smelled like a weed. Hmmm

It did have a pretty long taproot. I picked two smaller ones and left the bigger ones to see how big they get.
