Craigslist is a website with free classified if you type in Craigslist.org you can find the city closes to you

Craigslist is a FREE Online Classified ads website. You can find or sell all sorts of great stuff. You'll find ad's by private owners as well as Businesss. Health of any live animals depends on it's owners, it could be very easy to choose an animal in poor health anywhere, whether it's a pet store or a private owner. That said, I don't think it's Craigslist that's the problem, it the level of knowledge and care that the person advertising with them might or might not have.

It is different people selling stuff. It is pick up.

Usually you deal with locals and there pick up items, I'm sure people sell ad ship as well. Not a store just a classified website

It's like in the days past you would check out your local paper's want/sale ads. This is just one online that are all the states and other countries too and you just pick the area's ads you want to see. Like I may want to see what is available in Denver, CO or instead look at what is in Phoenix, AZ.

Like any place you buy from be it breeder, reptile shows, pet stores, rescues, or sale ads it's a gamble as to the health and history on the animals. Craig's list seems to have more because that is where a lot of folks go to get rid of animals they no longer want that are in more pet type househods. Thus folks who often have less knowledge on the anima's needs.

You can find some great animals and some great prices on there.
