So, i took Yvonne G's and Tom's idea and built this hideout for my tort.

It is made out of wood for fence that i had left over (i recently replaced my old fence) and the top is made out of wall material.

I filled it up with dried leaves and placed my tort in front it and it went in and fell asleep there.

I spent almost the whole morning building it. (I used screws)

It sure is. Lol my shirt was full of sweat. I want to leave her out all day now (unless its raining hard) should i? If yes, should i put something so she cant get out at night. Or is it okay like that

I do. I just block them inside until it stops raining and warms up.

I'd be more worried about nocturnal creatures getting in, so probably wise to.

So at night and when it rains hard i lock em inside the hideout?

Yes. Lock them in every night, whether it rains or not, and on days and nights when it rains

I saw some ants get in the hideout i built, should i worry about her getting bit by the ants?
