I like the idea of drawing around the tortoise a lot. I think I'll do the same when I get mine! Nice visual to accompany the facts and figures of length and weight.

I did that with my torts then drew it on the side of their cage/enclosure too

Glad I saw this. Mine are only a month old so I can track their growth from the beginning.
It's pretty easy at first but the bigger they get the less they are willing to put up with it. Then you have to worry about it peeing all over the paper which mine ALWAYS did. lol If that's the case just dry it off and put a clean sheet of paper over it and trace it.
