Hello everyone! I haven't posted in a while, I've been really busy, but last weekend I set aside my Saturday to visit a rescue center for Florida animals. I might even end up volunteering there, but I need to ask a few questions before I sign up! Anyways, they had some absolutely amazing animals, but I specifically wanted to see the tortoises.
They had a red foot (or maybe it was a yellow foot?) which I forgot to take pictures of, and then a native gopher tortoise with the cutest face on the planet, and a grouchy giant sulcata buried under the shed. I saw a massive hole, sneakily reached into the enclosure to move the food nearer to the hole, and watched as the entire contents inside the hole began to move and hiss and soon a big head popped out.
Enjoy the pics! :)gaylord 017.JPG gaylord 021.JPG gaylord 028.JPG gaylord 016.JPG gaylord 034.JPG gaylord 037.JPG
