They are only there for a short time.
One of them is his and the others he is "tortoise sitting"

Yeah I thought about that..but after talking to the owner he says that he has about 8 more at home so I'm assuming he rotates them.

They charge $2 to feed the them some type of green.

ummm...No i don't think there was. There might have been a bowl there but I'm not sure I was consumed with the torts...

i've never actually seen a full grown sulcata LIVE before it was so awesome and it made me love them even more!
