UVB light

I have my box turtle hatchling, Pickle, in a 41 liter sweater box. It's 17 inches wide. How would I attach a long uvb light to the enclosure without melting the plastic or letting it be too close to the substrate and make it too hot? Right now I'm using a MVB that I don't like. I have a black light bulb I use for heat which does the job but I'm worried about UVB. It's too cold to take Pickle outside right now. I've got one side with a temp around 85 degrees and the cooler side is around 70-75.

What kind of lid or top do you have? I use industrial Velcro to hold my long tube lights. I use the Zoomed t5ho tubes so the light fixture it self is nice and thin and easy to Velcro. It depends on
On your set up if it work. I attached the 2" wide Velcro to my screen lid.

I feel like the MVB gets too hot. It runs sometimes up to 90 degrees. It's also time to replace the bulb I think and I'd rather have something that isn't a MVB. My box I have him in is only 8 inches deep so I don't think velcroing it to the top would work. I'm using a sheet of plexiglass that covers most of the enclosure. I move it when the MVB is on and put it back at night to keep in some humidity. There is always condensation on it at night so I know it's doing its job. I may need to build something to hold a light...or just stick with the MVB for now.

90F is actually what the basking temp should be. 80ishF warm side, 75ishF cool side, and no lower than 65F as the night time low. So the MVB sounds like it's doing its job.
