Type of plant? Edible?

My mother has a bunch of these plants, but can't remember the name. I believe it is a type of succulent, but am not sure. Regardless, is it safe for Sulcata Torts to eat? If so, does it provide fairly good/adequate nutrition? Like, Is it something I could feed a little bit of regularly or should it only be fed in moderation?

It looks like a mother of pearl plant and if it is, it is safe to eat. I would wait on some others to back me up though lol just to be safe
