Garage doors. For the past few years I've been experimenting with enclosure ideas.

If anyone knows me, I'm frugal when it comes to everything, but not at the expense of my animals, but that doesn't mean break the bank.

I used recycled material that would just be discarded in a landfill if not used. Pallets have been my go to, but recently I've been obsessed with garage doors.

They're easy to cut to any length with a riprocating saw, and last forever. I've slowly been converting all of my enclosures to them.

no digging, no hassle. I use stakes I weld together with recycled materials I get from a welder. I slide the garage doors right between them, and BOOM...enclosure.

Ofcourse you have to do your diligence to maje sure animals cant dig out. You can also put wooden posts in the ground and drill into them.

Find any garage door company near you. They just toss the old ones out they remove from customers home.

Awesome find.

And they look nice. What about torts focused on digging out?
You could make a trench a few inches and put boards down there, but they wear out over time.

You could also put chicken wire, metal grating, or take these metal stakes, or rebar.20260404_080634.jpg You can hammer them in at an angle about half the width if the tort.

When they dig down it stops them and you'll always notice before they can make any progress.
