Looks like a slider hatchling but not a red ear.

That's a baby box turtle. It would be impossible to tell what type box turtle until it gets to be about a year old.

Baby red ears are vivid green, and the red stripe on the neck is quite visible. This baby is NOT a water turtle.

2 people are rowing on facebook over what kind it is,1 said it was a box turtle and the other said a slider,so i'll back and tell what it is and make myself look quite intelligent:p

Def is a box turtle. To me it Looks like an eastern box turtle. I breed them, and it looks like the hatchlings.

It's a box turtle. Looking very eastern. A clear shot of the face will verify it. Gulf coast box turtle babies will often have a slight bifold cusp on the upper beak, but not always

defiantly not a red ear slider. some kind of boxie, maybe an ornate or a 3 toed

Definitely a box turtle. First pic it looks like a 3 toed but on the second pic it looks like it has the Eastern's yellow spots on the dorsal keel.
