One of my oldest rescue turtles only has one eye. It looks like he lost in some how. He eats fine (just needs to see the food on the good side). He is strong, and has fathered two beautiful baby three toeds. I noticed he had a small cut on his no more eye. It looked like a paper cut. He lives outside. Could it just be a grass cut? Or did I somehow doom him to death? He seems fine and eats still like a hungry hippo. I am just a worried turtle mother.

Since he has no vision in the one eye he likely has issues with depth perception when he is mucking about...perhaps he simply bumped into something that caused damage....I would just be sure to keep the eye flushed and if you see it is not healing fine then maybe pick up some antibiotic eye ointment....
