Awesome.
It's a new thing Tortstork is offering called insta hatch. The egg is shipped 3-5 days away from the hatch date. Hes been really successful with it too.
Tortstork has another Cherry head egg in the incubator that will be ready to hatch in about a month........... Just saying
Is the yolk their way of getting nutrients or do they start eating food right away?
The yolk does give them nutrients but you put food in right away too. They will start nibbling and getting used to eating. This is when you give them a variety. It will help them get used to all different kinds of foods.
In not sure if they eat it when they've got the yolk but I've put some turnip greens in there and she went over and smelled them real good but I haven't seen her eat any yet.

Todd if you want Marge to eat well and a variety you should put a mix in everytime. That will or should stop them from being picky eaters besides being extremely healthy.
Day 4, still in the incubator till the yolk sac heals. I put some greens in there and she is sniffing them and really "Interested" but I haven't seen her eat any yet. Haven't really been bothering her too much expect once a day to put in clean paper towels.
Out of the incubator today. Taking her first soak first drink and exploring around in her new pad.
Ate my first real food today.... MAZURI FACE!

I first went with a CHE on a thermostat but I decided to try something else. I Took apart the incubator and removed the heating element and thermostat and rigged it to fit the lid of her enclosure. So far the temperature is staying 86 thru out the whole enclosure. I think I'm going to go with this and if I start to notice any pyramiding I'll switch to something different.
