Tortoise travel

Ok, I know this is a really odd question, but is it illegal to bring your desert tortoise with you from Ca to AZ and come back? Will they state boarder people take Roxy away??? ( p.s. Roxy was a rescue from an animal hospital that my mom woks at)

It is illegal to transport a CDT across state lines.

Not a good idea, as dmmj points out...the reason for the law, as I undertand it, is to keep the desert torts for passing diseases back and forth, so were your pet to be legally confiscated, it would quite likely be destroyed.
