Hi, new to tortoise forum, i resently ordered a new tortoise table for my tortoise, its plain wood and was wondering if i can use beeswax to give it some colour?

You might reconsider and cancel the order. Manufactured tortoise tables are generally too small for anything bigger than a baby, and babies don't do well in open top tort tables.

To answer your question, the only thing I've used to protect wood is Flex Seal OR sheet plastic.
