Tortoise table vs lighting setup

So I got a new tortoise table, it's beautiful and I love it! Anyways, I can't figure out how his lighting should be set up. I have this stand, would it hurt if I put it inside the tortoise table and secured it so he couldn't knock it over, or what should I do? Thanks in advance.

I know the obvious is to get a clamp to go on the side but I want to see if I can use this stand in hopes it wasn't a waste of money.

The base of the stand should go under your enclosure. This will make it safe and stable. Then extend the arm so the fixture is where you want it.
