Tortoise Size. :P

Hey this may seem like a really stupid question but..
How big can i expect my russian tortoise to get?
Also how do i tell his age..?
He is 3 1/2 inches now. I have had him for about a year now. They didnt give me an age when i got him from a lady
It may seem dumb but i am just trying to learn as much as possible.

Hi Faith:

Female steppe tortoises average about 7" in a straight line from front to back, and males a bit smaller than that. If your boy is 3 1/2 " from front to back he's probably in the 8 to 10 year range. If you show us a picture we can take a guess for you.
