Tortoise signs

How do you know if your tortoise is unhappy or I'll do they give off any signs my Russian ate a nibble of a purple cactus but she's seems her normal self how would I know If anything was wrong?

Is she with any other torts?
Is she new?
Have you changed habitat,diet etc?
Where abouts in the world are you?
What temps does she have? What UV lighting does she have? (indoor or outdoor)

Yes to the above.
If you are worried that the purple cactus she ate is toxic, post a picture of it. Someone may be able to ID it.
If it is not on the safe plant list, a small nibble isn't likely to be harmful except in unusual cases.

The first sign that something is wrong is that they don't come out of the hide all day...sleep all the time. Next you may see swollen eyes.

Oh I'm fine then she's so active she's been out all day strolling around climbing

The reason i asked so many questions is because to know if a tort is becoming ill, because they are not moving or eating much then the first thing to do is check the Husbandry and make sure the conditions are correct as you could be worrying that the tort is ill or unhappy when its something as simple as not warm enough.

Glad yours is ok.
