I saw on the internet about how I can order tortoise seeds. Is this something I should do? Can I just buy some at Home Depot or such? Is there certain kinds to get for a CDT? Would it be different for a Russian? I have no clue really how to do this...help would be appreciated.

I have ordered seeds from forum members sit tortoisesupply.com. I grow mine in coconut coir in the winter time. There are some you can get from home depot, but they don't carry seeds to grow weeds that I know of

Tortoisesupply.com has one called "Testudo mix" that is fantastic. There is a site called groworganic.com that is an excellent place or find all sort of seeds too. Some of the HD seeds are fine, but I wouldn't use one of their lawn mixes for tortoise food.

Found the seed. Thanks! Now please be patient with my ignorance, but do I grow it in a little pot or such and then put it in his enclosure box? Or do I try to have it grow in his substrate? Totally new here, as you can tell.
