When I'm not home my baby sulcata likes to rough house and will get flipped over. Is this dangerous? How long will it be ok for my tort to be like that? Thank you for answering! :)

Yes it is dangerous, they could die. You need to figure out how he is doing it and fix it. It's either an item or sharp corners he's trying to climb

It can be dangerous.
Flipping in water can lead to drowning if the water's in any way deepish.
Flipping under a heat lamp can roast the tortoise to death.
Anywhere else can cause breathing problems for the tortoise as their lungs are at the top of the shell so the whole weight of the rest of the body is pressing on the lungs, like if someone was sitting on your chest.
Try to reduce the objects that the tortoise can flip over .
Usually, they seem to grow out of it, but you must be very careful for now.

My tortoise flips over just on the edge of her enclose.
You have figure out why she tries to climb. You can put things near the corners to keep her out of them. One member found that her tort was clinging to the edge of nail or screw. Others find that they have to make sure their tort can't see out of the enclosure, so if it is glass, it needs to be covered. If you post pictures of your enclosure, we might be able to give suggestions.

Mine would flip on the hide we were using, and the replacement we tried after that! I ended up building a platform hide that didn't leave anything ground level to climb on. I used tall baby food jars and cut into a plastic rectangular dish. My tort can't get up the glass because it's too slippery, but still loves to go hide away under there.
