tortoise newbie. Help needed!

Am going to be getting a Horsefield about a year old. Can any one please give me any do's or don'ts that you may have picked up along the way!

Any tips would be very appreciated!

The things to do would be to read all the postings on this forum that pertain to your tort type, then read everything else. There is a ton of info on here regarding, food, lighting, enclosures, bulbs, substrate types, cuttlebones, water bowls, humidity, plants to feed, plants to not feed, etc. enjoy your tort, don't panic!

maybe a month or less old. baby tortoises need moist and humid enclosures, wood chips are really bad substate. cypress mulch, coco coir, or orchard bark are really good substrates when knelt moist.
