Tortoise facing the wall?

Lately I have noticed that my Russian tortoise spends a lot of time facing the wall sleeping. Is he trying to make it dark? Is he trying to get out? Here is a picture of him doing it:

All of my tortoises will do this . I don't know why but they run into the wall and sleep .

Does he have hides available?
Any my guy does it as well, tortoises are known to like pacing walls and I think my franklin just is pacing the perimeter gets tired and just ends up pushing against wherever he stops lol.

Mine actually pushes up the wooden crate and lodges herself under it and sticks her face to the wall, or burrows in the coir and moss.ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1426189310.965562.jpg
