Tortoise Enclosure Progress!

I can't wait till it's finished!

I'll be posting pictures of our progress (if you're wondering how big the enclosure is, it's 6feet long and 4feet wide)...

Yeah, it's gonna have a pretty big loft. And the tortoise that's gonna be in there will be a baby Marginated. We're picking him/her up at Arizona Tortoise Compound soon.

And guess what? We got the tortoise! He's a Russian. We named him Jasper


We still need a 3rd hide, and I have to put another fake plant in there, but it's pretty much done!

Jasper is very cute I would add some more light to the enclosure overall. Just some plain old lightbulbs will work.

I'm not sure what the humidity is yet (I forgot to get a thermometer that shows humidity), but the temperature is about 83.

Well, these pictures were taken at night so it's kind of dark. In the morning my curtain is open, so it's nice and bright.

What type of bulb do you have? Also, what is the temperature in the loft area? Usually russian torts like it a little bit hotter for a basking temp.

I'm using a Desert All Living Things Basking Bulb. I lowered the lamp a bit, so now the warm side is about 88F. The cool side (including the loft) is around 70F-75F.
