Hey i'm trying to find books on tortoise biology, i drop into car boot sales often but i still want more.

So... can people post book titles and writer names with the year ?

Within the last year JD "N2TORTS" posted a great list of books. It's already here on TFO.

I prefer to read peer reviewed literature, that list can be found by using the species name in google scholar.

It's alot of reading, and sometimes has no direct apparent practical application for 'pet' keeping, but it's all relevant in a bigger world view of the interest.

Guys thanks very much, i'm still searching around for this book list of the gods.

One book i have here is 'Turtles and Tortoises' calling it's self a complete pet owners manual...... its kind of a rag.....

Published in 1996 by Barron's its nothing special. Got it for 50 cent so not a problem.

When a member feels your thread isn't getting enough attention, they can post something to make the thread show up again on the first page. Usually if they have nothing to say, they can just say "bump" and post it.

We would rather folks did NOT just bump posts. The threads will usually get their share of attention without one word posts bumping them back up to the first page.
