How old is Baby Tortoises, Juvenile Tortoises and Adult Tortoises?

How to tell a Russian Tortoise age?

This is how I do it, others may do it diff. hatchling up to one year, juvenile until sexual maturity is reached ( oooh I said a bad word ) adult once they reach sexual maturity.

It is different for every species. Some take just a few years while some can take 20. Individuals of each population differ a bit too.

The only way to tell a tortoises age is if you know where and when it was bred. There is no reliable way to tell just by size alone.

Pyramiding that has already occurred cannot be changed, but by changing the diet and husbandry, you can make sure that the new growth is much healthier.
