My family doesn't really have a staple for Christmas. We usually do have ham, but this year even switching that up. To the main meat, we all bring different appetizers. There's 21 of us, 8 families, so we all participate in bringing an appy or two.

eggnog
cranberry sauce
pumpkin pie
I used to live within driving distance of a dairy. They made the ABSOLUTE BEST egg nog ever!

One of my favorite turkey left-overs is bread slathered with mayonaise, thick sliced turkey and gobs of Ocean Spray jellied cranberry sauce.

Only Pumpkin pie I REALLY like is Marie Callendar's.

Walnut cream and short pasta soup.
Roasted turkey with Christmas stuffing.
Biscayan style Cod.
And for dessert, Turrón de Gijón.

Very Spanish and American, but traditional since I was a boy.

Happy Christmas for all you f you!

My wife is Italian. Food is love, and she loves me a lot! She does a prime rib for Christmas. Garlic mashed potatoes, home made Mac n' cheese, and all the fixings.

Its a toss up every year whether Christmas or Thanksgiving dinner is better. Its going to be hard to beat Thanksgiving this year...

Seriously
I sometimes buy one of those mini hams. Bone in that are spiral sliced.
Then I'll make a glaze out of honey, cloves and root beer and continue to baste it in my ninja foodi for about 45 minutes.
That always gets eaten by whoever is here.

The root beer does it. Dr. Pepper next time?
