My hermann is bout a 1 1/2 years old and has not grown a hair
I bought it from a well known breeder . It eats very well and is very active. Is it a dwarf or growing slow ?

rjaboxing, You said you Hermann is about 1 1/2 yeasrs old and hasn't grown at all. How long have you had it now? How long and how much does it weigh? Do you have a pic of it you could post?

Yes, please post a picture, the current weight if possible, and the Straight Carapace Length (SCL) measurement.

SCL is just the shell measured in a straight line. For example, you can put the tortoise nose in to a wall with the head in and measure from the wall to the back of the shell. Or, estimate with a ruler. Google the term for more of an explanation. All torts are measured this way for comparison as a domed measurement along the shell is not accurate.

If you get a chance please also let us know what you feed, how much per day, enclosure type, lighting/heat, etc. Seems like a lot right now but you can start with one thing and take your time if you wish. Thanks so much!
