I am looking for a copy of The Crying Tortoise in reasonably good condition. If you have one or can direct me to a user who might be able to find me one, please reply!
Thanks,
Rachel

See message below that I got when I was searching for the book recently. You can contact Tomas at [email protected]

I really want the book too but couldn't afford this.

Theresa,
The book is out of print, we have only 2 used copies in a good condition from the original printing.
But it's pricy $160 each copy, shipping to US included. See attached document.

Best Tomas

Thanks so much! Don't think I can afford that either but appreciate your sharing the lead.

Me, too. I do not have a sulcata but I sure would love to read it. Too bad it is not digitized and online. I wonder if the author should be asked to do that. Sooooooo many people would buy it that way. If anyone knows the author out there, ask him to offer it online, for payment of course, and we will all buy it!! : )

WOW! for $160, I'll sell you mine!... in fact, since your a TFO member I'll let it go for a measly $159.99! :p

Have you tried outlet stores that specialize in out of print books? Here in Texas we have a store called "1/2 Priced Books" and they always have books that are out of print. However, they didn't have this book when I was looking for it a year and a half ago but their stock is ALWAYS in flux because of constant donations/purchases.

I had a couple of used bookstores put it on their "watch-for" list for me, so there's hope. There's also hope that I'll just stumble across $160 and have no other use for it....

Aha! Zamric, would you be so kind to give me, when you can, after the holidays is fine, the contact information for the author, publisher, from your book? I am going to ask if we can get them to offer it online. With so many sulcatas and sulcata owners and new owners up ahead, this would be a lovely thing to have readily available.

Hmmmmm, Josh ... maybe a deal where it is available to TFO members only, as an exclusive. Just thinking out loud ...

I can pay the $160. I'm just not crazy enough to let myself do it. I can't justify paying that much for a book unless its gold plated on the cover. LOL I will just have to be patient and keep looking for one.

Thank you Zamric and Tom, both. We need that book back for the sulcata owners to read! I know the print version is a collectors item now. But online, digitized would be so easy peasy and the author can still get revenue for his work! : )
