If it is that, whats the procedure to cure it? looking on google, ear abscesses look to be a lot further back nearer the neck and ear, this is right on his cheek, below his eye.it's hard for me to see the pictures but it sounds like an abscess in the ear
So what do i do for him? Could this go down on its own or will it require a vet to drain it?It doesn't look like it's in the ear (which is good), but it does appear to be an abscess.
he had an issue with damage to the other side of his mouth a few weeks ago. That seems to have cleared for the most part now and since then, this swelling has developed. Inside his mouth looks clear, but being such a small creature its hard to catch a decent look inside. i'll call a vet on monday and inquire about a checkup. i doubt many places where i live deal with reptiles like this.Did you take a look inside his mouth? Accually it could be something inside his mouth not an abcess or he had a hard landing and did not recract his head properly. The whole chick is swollen. I would suggest a Vet visit just in case. If it's an abcess you have to wait until it's ripe before you drain but still I would suggest you a Vet visit first.
Sorry, i dont think i could get any clearer shots. What would help? George is a trooper and doesn't stay down for longPics are not all that clear enough I'm afraid.
Wishes for a speedy recovery to your tort.
