So so so so sad! What is the proper thing to do in this situation? A large part of me would like to build a NEW quarantine (mines occupied right now), purchase the animal, and try my damnedest to help it. Another part of me doesn't want to reward these people with any type of momentary compensation for what I perceive to be animal abuse. However then the animal continues to suffer. Huge moral dilemma here.

On a side note tortoises are such resilient creatures! I am amazed the mis-care they continually survive.
