Sulcatas mating

Me and my friend who came over were just talking about sulcatas and when they mate, well we bet some money ($20) and we want to see whos right or at least closest lol, hes right here, so yea he said that they can mate around 5 years old and i said 10 years, so whos wrong lol please let us know asap! :p

Mating ability actually depends on size and not age. so both answers are right and wrong.

Haha funny stuff guys were beat, ok we bet size now, i said 20 inches he says 12

I imagine a male could mate at 12 but a female should be 20.

For females they usually start producing at 16 inches and in rare cases 15 inches. Havent heard of anything lower than that. I have had males starting to mount when they are in the 8-10 inches range but it depends on how fast they mature. I wouldnt think a male could produce offspring until 13 inches maybe 12.

In my experience, most females don't lay eggs until 17-18". I have heard of one 15"er. For males the number I've heard is 14".
