I’ve seen some posts about different “types” of sulcatas. What is the difference ?
There are only two types here in the states, but they've been widely interbred for decades now too.

There is the normal type from Mali. The males top out at around 32 inches and 130 pounds. The other type is from the Sudan. They grow over 36 inches long and have a comparatively high dome. 250 pounds is normal for older adult males and I've seen several that were over 300 pounds.

Females of both types top out at around 60-80 pounds with rare exception.

They don't look any different as babies. The higher domed carapace starts becoming more noticeable at around 60-80 pounds.
