I have tried a lot of things - soaking every day, spraying the bedding, putting a bowl in the enclosure, and I even installed a misting machine that runs all day. Still, my Sulcata is super dry! You can see the flakes on his shell and head, and I’m worried he might be pyramiding. It doesn’t seem to bother him, but I want to prevent any damage.

I also attached a picture of his enclosure. I added another UV light to try and improve shell growth.

The substrate seems dry, try putting about 24 oz of water and mix it, spray the enclosure and make it closed chamber. Keep on soaking every day.

Sulcatas aren't prone to shell rot
